Welcome in Indre
"Chez Ga-L" is a project under construction aimed at adults who have remained big children, where crafts, agriculture and guest rooms will be combined with common areas and leisure facilities.
The adventure begins now:
follow its evolution and participate in its creation !
The symbol of the farm: the cup!
The guest rooms will provide a setting where guests can relax, share, and have fun! The welcome will emphasize independence and flexibility in a space designed to encourage socializing, with common rooms and leisure facilities.
Breakfast and afternoon tea will be served as much as possible from the farm: honey, eggs, jams, kefirs, and more, with the main focus being on herbal teas and fruit teas. These are local, organic products, harvested and processed on-site according to permaculture principles.
Craftsmanship will be showcased with a ceramics and cold process soap making workshop in one of the barns: unique, handcrafted objects, from morning bowls to everyday soaps. You will be able to purchase my creations or come learn how to make your own!
The spirit and values of the place
At Ga-L, everyone lives at their own pace — a balance between independence and shared moments.
There’s no à la carte service here, but a way of life built around simplicity and connection.
A setting designed for a different kind of holiday, in a low-tech spirit that respects both people and the planet.
A river just a short walk away, a scenic path through the hamlet, a fortified village nearby,
and a little further, a regional park known for its wildlife and a painter’s valley to explore by bike.

Liberty
Here, you set your own rhythm.
There’s no breakfast schedule (it’s self-serve), and no pressure to chat if you’d rather enjoy the calm of a book under a tree.
Doors open with a code, common spaces are always accessible,
and you can linger a bit after check-out, just leave your bags inside and enjoy.
We don’t expect you to unplug completely, some guests come here to work too.
But we invite you to reconnect with your senses:
to the sounds of the countryside, the aromas of local food,
and the colourful tones of the garden’s plants.

Equality
Caring for the environment is a form of equality, for those living here, those yet to come, and those we don’t see: birds, insects, trees, and soil. Nature isn’t just a backdrop, it’s a partner. We protect it, live with it, and listen to it.
On a daily basis, we’re inspired by permaculture: caring for people, reducing waste, using what we have on hand, and sharing resources wisely. Local producers are supported, and short supply chains are favoured.
Everyone contributes in their own way to a balance between comfort, simplicity, and shared well-being.
And sometimes, the ducks help out with a bit of garden maintenance.

Fraternity
The farm provides the perfect setting for connection and conviviality, but nothing is ever forced.
You might share a drink, a game of pétanque, a board game under a tree, or a burst of laughter around an impromptu archery session.
Playfulness is at the heart of the project, because no one is ever too old to have fun.
And this sense of kinship extends to the non-human residents too:
mischievous sheep, chatty ducks, and thriving biodiversity, this whole little world helps shape the atmosphere.
The farm animals are precious allies in this adventure... and no, we don’t eat them ;) we thank them!
Here, there is no fixed schedule or calibrated publications, but a space for those who want to follow the evolution of the place and why not, contribute to it.
-
Instagram : the most active network for sharing progress in images.
-
Pinterest : to see the atmosphere of the place, the aesthetics of the final creations and design tips
-
Twitch : Brainstorming sessions on the decor or permaculture of the place and live wildlife observation.
-
YouTube : a vlog and step-by-step tutorials.
-
The blog : to centralize the main publications on the site.
Ultimately, the idea would be a private "social network" independent of GAFA, which would allow those who have been through the place to stay in touch and chat with each other.
